Professional Counselor Associate
Fran’s approach to counseling is client-centered and humanistic. Fran strongly believes that each client is the expert in their life and may utilize various interventions to meet each client’s individual needs. She primarily uses Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) from trauma and diversity-informed lenses. Learning and implementing Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) and exposure-related trauma interventions are some of Fran’s passions. Leadership is another one of her passions, and she enjoys leading any chance she gets. Fran has worked with a variety of populations, including inpatient and nonprofit. She has experience treating domestic violence, depression, and anxiety.
Her special interests include trauma, anxiety-related disorders (e.g., OCD, phobias), systems, marginalized populations, and gender/sexuality concerns. She is committed to providing unconditional positive regard, warmth, acceptance, safety, authenticity, and collaboration to clients. Fran is committed to being a lifelong learner and celebrator of diversity, equity, anti-oppression, and inclusion. She feels deeply honored to be a part of your healing journey.
